It takes a Real Man to stand up and be counted on the animals’ side these days.
On Sunday May 6 from 6 to 10 p.m., we will be celebrating and honoring such men at our
Real Men Care party at Sambuca Dallas.
Please join us for this fabulous event.
Real Men Care will honor several men who have made a big difference in the past year.
Skip Trimble's contributions are innumerable, as are the reasons to honor him. This year, however, he is retiring from decades of distinguished service on the Dallas Animal Shelter Commission. Not only that, he is serving his last term with the Texas Humane Legislation Network. Skip’s work with these two organizations has changed the landscape for animals in our community immeasurably. We hope you’ll join us to honor this remarkable advocate for the animals, and to thank him for all he has done.
Assistant District Attorney David Alex has diligently pursued the most difficult of animal-cruelty cases to the best possible outcomes. But 2011 was the year of the notorious cat-in-the-wall case. In Mr. Alex’s sure hands, this disappointing verdict somehow turned into a public-relations victory for the animals. Please join us when District Attorney Craig Watkins, who has had the vision and the courage to take animal cruelty cases seriously, personally presents this award to Mr. Alex.
Jim Clutts is president of EchoPoint Mortgage. Jim leaves no business connection unmined when it comes to helping animals. He was one of the first business leaders to support the Dallas Companion Animal Project, the city’s task force for creating a no-kill community. He’s also working on specific ways to involve more business leaders in saving animals at Dallas Animal Services. We can’t wait to see what Jim comes up with next! |
