Patt Davis founded the Garland Humane Society in 1971, which later became
the Humane Society of Greater Dallas, an organization focused on animal
cruelty investigation. Mrs. Davis was a constant advocate in animal rights
arenas and was active in numerous animal welfare organizations, including
the Texas Humane Legislation
Network.
Mrs. Davis was a valued Board Member of MAC, contributing her invaluable guidance and expertise during our early
years. Upon her death in March of 2004, MAC received a $30,000 bequest
from the Humane Society of Greater Dallas for our free spay/neuter program
for low-income residents of the City of Dallas, which was subsequently
renamed in her honor.
Patt Davis is greatly missed.
