  • You'll have access to the collective experience of more than 26 Member Groups and their leadership, and have the opportunity to share resources with others who can benefit from your experience
  • You'll receive timely information on low-cost and no-cost spay/neuter options for your clients
  • You'll be kept up to date on MAC events and news, as well as plans, changes and other issues concerning Dallas Animal Services
  • Your fundraisers or special events will be promoted to our entire member list via e-mail, and we'll keep you up to date on other MAC Member Groups' events and fundraisers
  • You'll be offered the opportunity to take advantage of available resources such as education, supplies, and more
  • Most importantly, you'll be a part of MAC's effort to reduce the killings of cats and dogs in municipal animal shelters and humane societies
HOW DO YOU JOIN? CHOOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP LEVEL:

MAC offers three levels of participation from which to choose:

MEMBER GROUP -501c3 animal welfare organizations can join MAC as a Member Group. Member Groups enjoy all the benefits available to MAC members, plus voting rights in MAC meetings. You'll have input on Board Member elections and the opportunity to voice your opinions in regard to MAC issues. Member Groups dues are only $50.00/year. To join MAC as a Member Group, please fill out the Member Group Application and our Member Groups Coordinator will contact you.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER -individuals working in animal welfare - whether affiliated with a MAC Member Group, a non-member group, or independently active in humane issues - may join MAC as non-voting members. Individual members enjoy many MAC benefits but have no voting rights and pay no annual dues. Independent members are eligible to serve on the MAC Board and on MAC committees. To join MAC as an Individual Member, please fill out the Individual Member Application and our Member Coordinator will contact you.

INTERESTED PARTIES -individuals involved in animal welfare and humane issues who simply want to stay informed are welcome to subscribe to our MAC e-mail list.

Volunteers are the heart of the Metroplex Animal Coalition. It is our volunteers who make possible everything we do. If you are interested in contributing to MAC as a volunteer, please contact our Member Groups Coordinator to discuss the opportunity most suited to your desires and your skills.

In six years, one female dog and her offspring can theoretically produce 67,000 dogs.
In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats.
The number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year is 8-10 million (HSUS estimate).
The number of cats and dogs euthanized by shelters each year is 4-5 million (HSUS estimate).
The number of animal shelters in the United States is between 4 and 6 thousand (HSUS estimate).
The percentage of purebred dogs in shelters is 25% (HSUS estimate).
